About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical nursing in Saint Helena, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 08/31/2026. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, collecting and analyzing patient data, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. The nurse will administer medications, monitor patient responses, delegate and supervise staff, and provide patient and family education. The setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital, and the shift is 3x12-hour day shifts.

Requirements

Current RN licensure in the state of practice (required)
BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor (required)
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification (required)
Minimum of two years of recent acute care RN experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting and 3x12-hour day shifts

BSN (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of medical-surgical patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
Collect and analyze patient data; develop and implement a care plan, evaluating progress toward outcomes.
Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Administer medications, monitor responses, and respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate interventions.
Delegate appropriately and supervise the activities of nursing staff across different levels of care.
Provide education and health information to patients and families and contribute to a healing, safe environment.
