About The Position
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date: 10/12/2026 for 12 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,209 to $2,305. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour shifts. The role is in a hospital setting and may involve rotating Day/Evening/Night schedules with the potential for on-call, holidays, and charge duties per unit needs.
Requirements
- RN license required for New York (active, unrestricted)
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating Day/Evening/Night schedule
- Willingness to participate in rotating shifts including Every Other Weekend, holidays, on-call, and unit-based callback as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical/surgical telemetry patients, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team
- Monitor telemetry data and respond to changes following unit protocols and physician orders
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and routine treatments; manage patient safety and symptom relief
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with case management for disposition planning and patient/family education
- May assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member as assigned
