About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg unit. The contract is for 13 weeks and begins on 08/31/2026. The role involves providing direct nursing care, monitoring patients, administering medications, documenting care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and supporting discharge planning. The nurse will be expected to float to other departments as needed and respond quickly to clinical changes.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or multi-state license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Willingness to float to other departments in rotation
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and during 3x12-hour night shifts
• Verification steps may include approved 6-hour suicide training and Nursys demographics verification

Nice To Haves

• Med Surg nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with electronic documentation is advantageous
• Knowledge of Meditech is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a med-surg unit, delivering safe, evidence-based care
• Monitor patient condition, assess vitals, administer medications and treatments per orders
• Document care in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; float to other departments in rotation as needed
• Support discharge planning and patient education to improve outcomes
• Respond quickly to clinical changes, escalating concerns to the care team as appropriate
