About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical care with a focus on Respiratory Care. The role is based in a high-acuity hospital setting and requires skilled bedside nursing, strong clinical judgment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/08/2026, with a 12-hour night shift on a 2x3 schedule.

Requirements

Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license required at time of submission; NURSYS license verification for active RN licenses
BLS required
NHISS required prior to start
1–2 years minimum Med-Surg experience; may consider Critical Care RN if comfortable with Med-Surg ratios and acuity
Registered Nurse (RN) by accredited program
Up-to-date resume including 2+ years of experience and travel experience
Local drivers license with address matching demographics
RTO (requested time off) must be included at submission
Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift schedule
May be requested to float to nearby NH locations if needed

ACLS preferred
Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care for high-acuity medical-surgical patients, including monitoring, assessment, and timely response to changes in condition
Administer medications, perform nursing procedures, and document care in the electronic health record
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the health care team to implement and adjust care plans
Monitor respiratory status and provide care for patients requiring respiratory support or weaning; participate in rounding and care coordination
Maintain patient safety and comfort, manage alarms, and advocate for patient and family needs
May float to affiliated units as needed and participate in unit coverage based on patient acuity and staffing
