About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Medical-Surgical unit in Atlanta, Georgia. The assignment is for 16 weeks, with a start date of 09/21/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care on a 30-bed inpatient unit. Nurses will work 12-hour day shifts, three days per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. There are no time-off requests permitted during the assignment. The pay rate is estimated between $1,533 – $1,592 per week.

Requirements

2 years of Med/Surg experience; preference for level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital experience
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Ability to work in an inpatient Med/Surg setting with a 30-bed unit and patient ratio of 5–6:1
12-hour day shifts; reliable and timely in attendance
Current, active nursing license in good standing (as required to practice in the located state) and eligible for temporary travel assignment
No time-off requests (RTO) during the assignment

Responsibilities

Provide direct, hands-on nursing care for Med/Surg patients on a 30-bed unit, including monitoring and reassessment of patient status.
Administer medications, perform basic nursing procedures, and manage IV therapy according to physician orders and unit protocols.
Document care, findings, and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record; communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care plans, ensure patient safety, and support smooth workflow on the unit.
Adhere to unit policies, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines; maintain appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios (5–6:1) and report concerns promptly.
No formal patient education responsibilities are expected for this assignment; focus is on direct patient care and bedside tasks.
