About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a hospital environment with a Med/Surg patient population in Saratoga Springs, NY. The assignment is for several weeks, starting on 08/24/2026. The role requires floating at the manager's discretion based on skillset. The position is a temporary assignment with a shift of 3x12 Nights.

Requirements

• NY RN license active at submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Med/Surg nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Willing to complete Relias EKG exam within 72 hours of signing (facility expects passing ≥85% and identification of critical rhythms; onsite competency may be required)
• Willing to complete Healthstream modules and orientation by 7:00 AM on the Wednesday prior to start (RN modules ~12–15 hours, allied modules ~10–12 hours; orientation ~12–15 hours)
• Must be willing to float as needed per manager discretion based on skillset
• Candidates with a primary residence within 50 miles of the assignment will not be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, wound care, and routine procedures per plan of care.
• Interpret and respond to changes in patient condition; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for timely care planning and patient education.
• Perform required nursing tasks such as basic diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, and EKGs as assigned.
• Document care in the charting system, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and participate in rounds and patient/discharge planning.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to unit policies and standards.
