About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) in Atlanta, GA. The role involves providing direct patient care to high-acuity surgical trauma patients on a 2x3 Nights schedule within a hospital setting. The assignment is through Healthforce Healthcare LLC and offers guaranteed hours with a competitive weekly pay range.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg, with exposure to high-acuity surgical/trauma populations
BLS certification required
EPIC electronic medical record experience required
Ability to work night shift on a high-acuity surgical trauma floor
Commitment to reliable, continuous coverage for assigned shifts

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to high-acuity surgical trauma patients, including populations such as gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia.
Administer medications and monitor patient conditions; document findings succinctly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Perform ongoing patient assessments, respond to changes in condition, and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Facilitate handoffs between the ED and admitting units and coordinate with unit secretaries and phlebotomy as needed.
Maintain a safe and efficient nursing workflow with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio per unit guidelines; ensure timely interventions and patient safety.
