About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The role involves delivering skilled care to adult patients with a focus on accuracy, safety, and compassionate service within a hospital setting. The assignment is for 16 weeks, with a start date of 09/14/2026. The position offers a weekly pay range of $1,575–$1,636 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is 12-hour nights on a 2x3 schedule.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license (GA or equivalent compact licensure recognized for practice in Georgia)
Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant Med Surg nursing experience
AHA BLS Certification required
NIHSS certification required
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2x3 schedule
Eligible for travel assignment and able to meet facility requirements for temporary credentialing

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for adult Med Surg patients, including assessment, monitoring, and timely response to changes in condition.
Administer medications and IV therapies according to physician orders, with accurate documentation and safe practice.
Perform routine procedures and assist with diagnostics, treatments, and patient education as needed.
Maintain clear, concise, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and safe transitions of care.
Uphold patient safety, infection control standards, and quality initiatives throughout the shift.
