About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) on the Respiratory unit in Zanesville, OH. The position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week on the night shift, working three 12-hour shifts with every-other weekend. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring patient status, administering medications, managing IV therapy, interpreting telemetry data, collaborating with the healthcare team, and documenting care in the Epic EMR. There is a possibility of floating to other Med-Surg areas as needed. The assignment requires specific start dates and proficiency in the Epic EMR system.

Requirements

Active Ohio RN license
BLS certification
Epic EMR proficiency (documented; refresher or 1:1 training not available)
Minimum 3 years of Telemetry and/or Step-Down experience; ability to read telemetry; competency tested on day one
Willingness to work nights and to float between Med-Surg units as needed
Start availability for Sept 21, 2026 or Oct 19, 2026; no-call shift expectations

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to Med-Surg patients on the Respiratory unit, with occasional float to other Med-Surg areas as needed
Monitor patient status, perform comprehensive assessments, and respond to changes in condition
Administer prescribed medications and manage IV therapy per policy
Read and interpret telemetry data, monitor cardiac rhythms, and respond to alarms promptly
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and coordinate discharge planning
Document care in the Epic EMR, ensuring accuracy, legibility, and compliance with standards
Uphold infection control practices, patient safety, and quality-of-care guidelines
