About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse position in Medical-Surgical nursing in Atlanta, Georgia. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/21/2026. The nurse will work day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The role involves floating to all med-surg areas as needed. EPIC experience is required, and no time-off requests are permitted during the assignment.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia) with Nursys license verification
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BLS certification (and any other clinical certifications as applicable)
- Ability to float to all Med Surg areas as needed
- No time-off requests (RTO) during the assignment
- Shift readiness: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients across multiple units as needed
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and address adverse effects promptly
- Perform ongoing patient assessments; document findings and plans in the electronic charting system
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Respond to call lights, monitor safety needs, and ensure infection control and patient safety standards
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
