About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Med Surg Tele role in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/25/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3x12 rotating night shift schedule, including weekend rotation and call shifts. The role involves providing direct nursing care to adult patients in a Med-Surg Acute Care/OBS unit within a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of Acute Care/Med-Surg/Telemetry or similar RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation; may include call shifts as staffing requires
- Must provide resume, Nursys License, Skills Sheet, BLS and ACLS certificates
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in the Med-Surg Acute Care/OBS unit using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
- Administer medications, monitor responses, manage IVs and lines, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team; participate in rounds and care planning
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes; maintain accurate and timely charting
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist with admissions and discharges, and support discharge planning and patient/family education
