About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in Med Surg Tele at a hospital in Morrisville, Vermont. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on the Days shift. The role requires current, active nursing practice in a hospital environment and the ability to deliver age-specific direct patient care under standard Nursing and Specialty care guidelines.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license (state of assignment or as required by board policies).
Current ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation training must be active prior to contract start date or booked by orientation.
Experience in Med Surg Tele or related acute care setting preferred.
Ability to work in a hospital environment and perform age-appropriate nursing care across patient populations.
Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and meet the guaranteed hours requirement.

Responsibilities

Deliver age-specific direct patient care using the Nursing Process within Department of Nursing standards and specialty-specific care standards.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and document care accurately and timely.
Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and report changes to the patient’s care team.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care; educate patients and families as appropriate.
Assume leadership responsibilities on the unit, including delegation of tasks to other levels of staff and supervision as assigned.
Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and hospital policies governing health care provision.
