About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg Telemetry in Globe, Arizona. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/07/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, with a focus on post-operative and medically complex cases. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and telemetry, assessing patient condition changes, administering medications and treatments, developing care plans, documenting patient information, and assisting with discharge planning and education.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Arizona) or eligible for AZ licensure
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience or recent Med/Surg nursing background with telemetry
• Ability to work in a surgical center environment and to float to other units as needed
• Flu vaccine required with no exceptions
• Compliance with assignment policies: no permanent address within 100 miles of the facility; RTO no more than 3 days per 13-week contract

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, with emphasis on post-operative and medically complex cases
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry, assess changes in condition, and escalate as needed
• Administer prescribed medications, perform treatments, and manage IV therapy according to protocol
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Assist with discharge planning and patient and family education; ensure safe transitions of care
