About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical Telemetry. The role is hospital-based and involves direct patient care for medical-surgical telemetry patients. Responsibilities include monitoring, interpreting, and responding to telemetry readings, administering medications, managing IV therapies, documenting interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, performing assessments, organizing care, and coordinating discharge planning. The nurse will also be expected to float to like units and overflow areas as needed, while maintaining patient safety and compliance with hospital policies. Onboarding includes pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and medications testing.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS; Current AHABLS Certification
• Telemetry competency exam required; pass during onboarding (one attempt with an 85% passing threshold)
• Ability to float to other Med Surg Tele floors and overflow areas
• Able to work 12-hour night shifts; proficient in electronic medical records and nursing documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical telemetry patients under standard nursing protocols
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to continuous telemetry readings and patient status
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and document all interventions accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Perform accurate assessments, organize care, and coordinate discharge planning as appropriate
• Float to like units and overflow areas as needed, while maintaining patient safety and compliance with hospital policies
