About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Telemetry in Kealakekua, Hawaii. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of August 31, 2026. The role involves float coverage between two medical-surgical/tele units and providing MS overflow coverage in the ICU and ED. Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system is required. The position is temporary and considered a travel assignment.

Requirements

EPIC electronic medical record experience is required.
Ability to float between MS/Tele units and provide MS overflow coverage to ICU and ED.
Availability to work a night shift schedule on a 3x12-hour cadence (approximately 36 hours per week).
Travel RN on a 13-week assignment in Hawaii; willing to relocate as needed.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care on medical-surgical/tele units, including coordination of care for adult patients.
Float between two MS/Tele units and provide overflow coverage for MS patients in ICU and ED as needed.
Monitor patient status, document assessments, administer prescribed medications, and perform routine therapies.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans; respond to changes in patient condition.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC), ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Communicate clearly with patients and families, and escalate concerns to the charge nurse or physician as appropriate.
