About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Telemetry in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/22/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring telemetry, administering treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, documenting care, and supporting discharge planning. The position is in a hospital setting and requires the nurse to work 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation and on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current Colorado RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years of Acute Care/Med-Surg/Telemetry or similar RN experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation; willing to participate in on-call rotation
• Travel eligibility: traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• Colorado CAPS credentialing may be required; may take up to two weeks to obtain (apply ASAP at colorado.gov/ccu)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adult Med-Surg/OBS patients, applying the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry when required, and promptly respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and other treatments per physician orders and protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in daily rounds and care planning
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote safe transitions home
