About The Position
This is a travel - temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery, based in Templeton, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks in a hospital setting, with a start date of 10/12/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring labor progress, assisting with delivery and postpartum care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Perinatal/Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in labor and delivery, applying evidence-based perinatal nursing standards.
- Assess maternal and fetal status, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Monitor labor progress, administer medications as ordered, and coordinate anesthesia support when appropriate.
- Assist with delivery and provide postpartum care, including patient and family education.
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and multidisciplinary team; delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Document accurately in patient records and maintain compliance with standards of nursing practice.
