About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Los Angeles, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026. Requirements

Active registered nurse license in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to work nights and participate in a travel assignment
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)

1+ year of labor and delivery nursing experience or demonstrated L&D competency for travel assignments

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for laboring or postpartum patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications as prescribed, assist with deliveries, and provide postpartum care.
Perform ongoing assessments, document findings, and contribute to care planning and modification as needed.
Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with obstetric team and other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
Educate patients and families on care plans, newborn care, and discharge instructions; support emotional and psychosocial needs.
Ensure safe, high-quality care through adherence to safety, infection control, and documentation standards.
