About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, located in Dundee, Kansas. The assignment is for a 13-week contract with a start date of 09/13/2026. The role involves working 3x12-hour night shifts in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,500–$2,545. Healthforce Healthcare LLC is the staffing agency for this temporary assignment. Virtual orientation will be provided on Monday, and credentials are due one week prior to the start date.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months
Must commit to obtaining PALS prior to start
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Willingness to float to MS and care for pediatric patients
Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in a short-term, acute care setting

Nice To Haves

3+ years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
EPIC experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention as needed.
Monitor fetal status with external/internal monitoring, administer medications per protocol, manage pain relief, and coordinate with the obstetric team during labor and delivery.
Assist with deliveries, manage postpartum care, and participate in patient and family education throughout the perinatal period.
Maintain accurate patient documentation, including charting of events, medications, and outcomes; ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
Be prepared to float to medical-surgical units for overflow and to care for pediatric patients as required; assist with perioperative or neonatal care if needed.
