About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Templeton, CA. The assignment is for 18 weeks, starting on 08/31/2026, with a weekly pay range of $2,591-$2,826. The role guarantees 36 hours per week, with a night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts. The setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital and there is no call requirement.

Requirements

Current RN license in the state of practice (California).
Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent required.
Minimum of two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) required.
EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
Licensure and certifications must be in good standing.
Ability to work night shifts and rotate as needed.
No required on-call duties for this assignment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
LDRP model experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver comprehensive perinatal nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, coordinating with the healthcare team.
Monitor fetal well-being and maternal status; recognize and manage perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia); facilitate timely multidisciplinary interventions.
Provide pain management support in labor, including epidural placement assistance and monitoring after administration.
Educate patients and families across all stages of the perinatal and postpartal period, tailoring teaching to age, culture, and readiness.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff; supervise and delegate tasks within scope of practice; ensure accurate, legible documentation of care and patient response (including EPIC charting).
