About The Position

Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Reedley, California, starting 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range of $2,071–$2,174 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Night shift comprised of 3x12-hour shifts. This assignment is in a Critical Access Hospital setting and requires active RN licensure in the state of practice, current BLS, and relevant emergency department experience. BSN is preferred; EPIC experience is required.

Requirements

RN license: Active, in-state licensure for the practice location
Minimum of 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience
BLS required; ACLS and PALS required; EPIC experience required
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced ER environment and participate in discharge planning

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process, including data collection, assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Administer medications, procedures, and treatments as ordered; monitor patient responses and adjust care as needed
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning
Supervise and direct nursing staff at various levels; promote a safe, healing environment and maintain patient safety and infection control standards
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EPIC); provide clear, timely communication to the treatment team
Provide education to patients and families; participate in ongoing learning opportunities and performance improvement activities
