About The Position

Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (ER) in Reedley, California. This is a 13-week travel assignment in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering coordinated nursing care to emergency patients, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patient and family education in a small-hospital ER environment.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California required).
Minimum two years of recent ER or acute care bedside nursing experience.
BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor; required.
ACLS and PALS certification from an approved vendor (AHA-ACLS/ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS/ARC-PALS); required.
AHA or ARC-based certifications required per policy.
EPIC EMR experience required.

Nice To Haves

BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
Collect relevant health data, analyze assessment findings, determine diagnoses, and develop an evidence-based care plan.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery across disciplines, and promote a safe, healing environment.
Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes and adjust plans as needed; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; provide health information and education to patients and treatment teams.
Direct, supervise, and delegate tasks to nursing staff across levels; participate in handoffs and rounds to maintain continuity of care.
