About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Lancaster, Ohio. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/08/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is a night shift, working three 12-hour days from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This temporary assignment is provided by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Ohio
• Associate degree in nursing
• CPR certification (CPR required)
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced ER setting
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Demonstrated patient- and family-centered care, with good documentation and teamwork

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred
• ER/acute care experience is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each ER patient using the nursing process; adapt plans as patient needs change.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor responses, and document accurately and legibly.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and care team; provide timely escalation when needed.
• Educate patients and families from admission to discharge, including discharge instructions and safety considerations.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functioning; report malfunctions and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Provide direction and supervision of co-workers as appropriate, delegating tasks consistent with scope of practice and policy.
