About The Position
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room travel assignment in Simi Valley, CA. Start date: 09/14/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $596-$637 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Requirements
- Willingness to work an evenings-based 12-hour shift schedule (3x12)
- Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Weekend rotations required (every 3rd weekend)
- Experience or demonstrated capability to work in a fast-paced ED environment
- Ability to collaborate with multiple on-site teams and adapt to unit workflows

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to ED patients across a range of acuities, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and fluids per physician orders; utilize Pyxis for medication dispensing; document administration in the Cerner EMR
- Use ultrasound guidance for IV access as needed and assist with ED procedures and adjuncts
- Prepare patients and assist with central lines, procedural sedations, TEE, bronchoscopies, bubble studies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and blood patches
- Collaborate with the ED care team to coordinate care, communicate patient status, and ensure safe patient throughput
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in Cerner; participate in handoffs and discharge planning
- Leverage on-unit resources, including phlebotomy support when available, to optimize patient care
