About The Position

This is a traveling assignment for a Registered Nurse in the ER, located in the Kapaau area of Hawaii. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/19/2026. The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. This position is in a hospital setting where the nurse will float between Med-Surg and Emergency Department units. Strong EPIC experience is a requirement for this role. The pay range is estimated between $2,357 to $2,499 per week.

Requirements

Active RN license in Hawaii or eligibility for Hawaii licensure
Minimum 13-week contract expectation with the ability to float across units as assigned
Strong EPIC EMR experience required
Hospital setting experience required
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient safety focus

Nice To Haves

Prior ER and/or Med-Surg float experience preferred

Responsibilities

Float between Med-Surg and Emergency Department units, delivering RN care to adult and geriatric patients as needs dictate
Triage, assess, monitor, and document patient status; administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Perform patient procedures within scope; manage IV therapy, wound care, and ongoing patient monitoring
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and patient flow
Document thoroughly in the EPIC electronic medical record; ensure accuracy and compliance with privacy and safety standards
Respond to emergent situations and support code responses as needed; participate in discharge planning and patient education
