About The Position

This is an eight-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) located in Clinton, IL. The position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week, working 3x12 night shifts with a rotation that includes weekends and holidays. The role is in a rural, critical-access care setting. Extension opportunities may be available, and support is provided by a dedicated travel team and 24/7 recruiter assistance.

Requirements

Licensed in the State of Illinois as EMT or Paramedic, or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS certification.
May be required to lift 50 lbs.; ability to stand and walk for long periods; potential exposure to communicable diseases.
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, dynamic environment with a need for rapid prioritization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency care setting, including initial assessments and ongoing monitoring.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor patient responses and document changes.
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and support staff to deliver timely, safe care; assist with procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic record; communicate effectively during handoffs.
Prepare patients for examination and procedures; assist with wound care, splinting, and other routine ED interventions as appropriate.
Support patient and family education and discharge planning to promote continuity of care after the encounter.
