About The Position

Registered Nurse - ER (Emergency Department) travel assignment in Olympia, WA. This is a 13-week temporary assignment in a short-term acute care setting. The unit is the Emergency Department with 42 beds in a high-volume, Level I stroke & cardiac center and Level III trauma framework. The role involves delivering direct patient care, managing care of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, maintaining proficiency with various medical procedures, interpreting and responding to dysrhythmias, performing Epic documentation, and adhering to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Requirements

Active RN license (WA) or compact license; compact license must be in hand at submission; pending licenses accepted but quick starts preferred
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications
Minimum 1 year RN experience; first-time travelers accepted if they have 1 year RN experience and Epic experience
Epic experience required
Ability to work in a busy ED environment with floating as needed

Nice To Haves

Large-facility and trauma experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume ED, including triage, assessment, prioritization, and disposition decisions
Manage care of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, including ventilation support and ABG interpretation
Maintain proficiency with arterial/central line care, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation when indicated
Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias; participate in rapid response and code activities as needed
Perform Epic documentation accurately and promptly; coordinate with a multidisciplinary team (Respiratory, PT, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Transportation)
Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols; maintain patient safety and infection control standards
