About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for an Emergency Room at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital in Hanford, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 08/31/2026. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, triaging and assessing patients, collaborating with healthcare teams, developing care plans, and ensuring patient safety and infection control.

Requirements

Current, active RN license in the state of practice (California)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; CPR as required by policy
ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA/ARC) required
NRP certification may be required per unit
Minimum two years of recent ER experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced ER setting; availability for 6:30 AM–7:00 PM day shifts

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for an ER patient group according to established standards and the nursing process
Triage, assess, monitor, and respond to patient conditions; administer treatment as ordered and intervene in emergencies
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care
Develop and implement care plans, document actions and patient responses, and participate in discharge planning and patient education
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate appropriate tasks to team members
Maintain patient safety, infection control, and a healing environment; provide education to patients and families
