About The Position

Requirements

Emergency department nursing experience: 3–5 years
Ability to work rotating mid-shift hours and every-other-weekend schedule
Willingness to participate in a Vermont travel assignment
Ability to work effectively in a hospital ER setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to attending quarterly department education sessions

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including initial assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures as needed
Communicate and collaborate with physicians, physicians assistants, and the broader care team to implement effective care plans
Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain clear, timely communication with families when appropriate
Monitor for clinical changes, respond to emergencies, and uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
Attend department quarterly education sessions as required for agency professionals
