About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room (ER) setting, specifically within a critical access care environment. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, assessing patient health status, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, and documenting care in an electronic medical record. The nurse will collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes and maintain a safe, healing environment.

Requirements

California RN license in good standing (state of practice)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor
ACLS and PALS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
EPIC EMR experience required
Minimum 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care setting

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group using the nursing process and established standards.
Collect relevant data, assess health status, analyze findings, and identify care issues to inform the plan of care.
Develop and implement a plan of care, coordinate delivery across disciplines, and supervise applicable nursing staff.
Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
Document care and communications accurately in the designated electronic medical record; provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Maintain a safe, healing environment and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to support optimal outcomes.
