About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in the Emergency Department (ER) located in Lewiston, Maine. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with a start date of September 7, 2026. The role involves working three 12-hour shifts per week in a hospital-based emergency department setting. The weekly pay is estimated between $2,136 to $2,184. Orientation for this assignment is unpaid and can last up to 16 hours. This assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maine; no licensure hits or actions
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced ED
• Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the assignment location

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in the ED, initiating nursing care plans and ongoing evaluation throughout the stay
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as ordered; monitor responses and manage adverse effects
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, document nursing actions, observations, and patient responses
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and care coordination
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and preceptor as needed; participate in handoffs and shift transitions
• Maintain clinical competence in a high-acuity ED environment and support team-based care
