About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and creates a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. The position involves assessing patient needs, developing patient care plans, providing direct care, and managing care delivery. The nurse demonstrates leadership, supports quality care, and contributes to customer relations and a healing environment.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and fewer than 10 years of experience must enroll in a bachelor’s degree program within 12 months of hire and achieve the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; if not already certified, BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of a dysrhythmia class, as required by department assignment.
