About The Position

This is a three-month travel nursing contract in Cardiac Telemetry at a 32-bed unit in Greenville, South Carolina. The unit provides comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring around the clock for patients with cardiovascular conditions, with a focus on heart failure. Care includes inpatient treatment and arranging post-hospitalization care and services. The position is onsite and scheduled for day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Every-other-weekend coverage is required, and the schedule may change based on need. The nurse may be assigned to other units as needed. A flu vaccination is required, with no exemptions.

Requirements

SC RN license required.
ACLS certification required.
BLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.
Minimum two years of experience in the field required.
Three years of experience within the Cardiac Tele specialty required for first-time travelers.
Proficiency with the Omnicell medication system.
Minimum one year of Epic (EHR) experience.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
Flu vaccination required; no exemptions.

Responsibilities

Provide continuous EKG monitoring and/or continuous oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry.
Administer specific intravenous and oral medications that treat cardiac conditions and arrhythmias.
Prepare and send patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures.
Provide holistic care to meet the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and their families or significant others.
Float to other units if needed.
