About The Position

The Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse supports an inpatient adult population with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common cardiovascular diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. Patients may also receive IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation. The nurse may be required to float to like units or other facilities depending on need. This is an onsite, three-month contract in Clinton, South Carolina. The schedule is a night shift of three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with coverage every other weekend; the schedule may change based on need. Pay is $47.00–$52.00 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship or transfer is unavailable.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience.
ACLS certification required.
BLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.
South Carolina RN license required.
2 years of experience in the requested field; first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the employer cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

Responsibilities

Care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.
Manage patients with cardiovascular diagnoses, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease.
Administer and monitor IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation for cardiac patients.
Administer vasoactive drugs, antiarrhythmic therapy, and thrombolytic therapy.
Perform defibrillation and cardioversion.
Assist with thoracentesis.
Conduct cardiac telemetry monitoring and perform EKGs.
Perform non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
Float to like units or other facilities depending on need.
