Registered Nurse - Cardiac Tele
About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position on a Cardiac Telemetry unit. The role requires the nurse to perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. The unit diagnoses include CHF, MI/Chest pain (pre- and post-cath), Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), Hypo-/Hypertension, Pleural effusion, Sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issues. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5, in a unit with 36 rooms and an average daily census of 35. The role requires flexibility for floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed. Compliance with all requirements is necessary for timely start, with a two-week delay if not compliant due to bi-weekly orientation. Locals are accepted at the same rate. The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by contract length.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience with Epic.
- Ability to perform own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks.
- Full compliance required for timely start.

- NIH certification preferred.
