About The Position

This is a 3-month contract travel nursing assignment in cardiac telemetry in Clinton, South Carolina. The nurse will care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common cardiovascular diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. The patient population may also include cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation. The position is onsite and scheduled for night shifts of three 12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30, with weekend coverage every other weekend; the schedule may change based on need. Floating to like units or other facilities is required depending on need. The pay rate is $48.00–$52.00 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in the field; first-time travelers may be reviewed based on experience.
At least 1 year of EPIC experience.
Ability to float to like units or other facilities as needed.
ACLS certification.
BLS certification.
NIHSS certification.
South Carolina RN license.
Flu vaccination is required; no exemptions.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.
Administer vasoactive drugs.
Administer antiarrhythmic drug therapy.
Perform and assist with thrombolytic therapy.
Perform defibrillation and cardioversion.
Assist with thoracentesis.
Conduct cardiac telemetry monitoring.
Perform and interpret EKGs.
Perform non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
Float to like units or other facilities depending on need.
