About The Position

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are an integral part of the SARRC team. They connect and include individuals with autism in their homes, schools, and communities using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The role also provides clinical administrative support to monitor and evaluate client progress. The position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and is full-time. Experienced RBTs are offered a $500 sign-on bonus; entry-level positions are also available for applicants seeking RBT certification. The role involves collaborating with peers to implement treatment plans, adapting care to clients’ needs, and using technology, software, and data-collection applications. Staff receive extensive training, consistent support, and ongoing professional development, including weekly individual and group supervision with a BCBA. Opportunities include attending local and national conferences and workshops, year-round social engagements, wellness programs, and special events. SARRC offers an educational pathway for employees pursuing BCBA careers: 100% tuition reimbursement for a structured two-year master’s program through the University of West Florida, plus on-site mentorship from experienced BCBAs to accrue restricted and unrestricted BACB fieldwork hours. Behavior staff must have reliable transportation to and from clients and a clean driving record with no more than three minor violations. The work requires sustained movement and standing, occasional lifting and transferring, and frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, or sitting on the floor.
