About The Position

VodaSafe is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for AquaEye Pro, an AI-powered handheld sonar system that helps rescue teams locate people underwater. The role owns the revenue target for its territory and works with fire departments, law enforcement agencies, search and rescue teams, dealers, distributors, and sales representatives to grow sales. The SDR team qualifies inbound and outbound leads, which the manager then owns through evaluation, demonstration, quoting, and close. The manager also develops opportunities through partners, events, and existing customer relationships. The sales approach is consultative and hands-on. The manager learns how customer teams operate, identifies their needs, and demonstrates how AquaEye supports their work, often in the field. The role also helps customers navigate public-sector purchasing processes, which may involve annual budgets, grant funding, formal quotes, and council or board approvals. This is a remote role when not in the field, with travel up to 80% of the time. The manager plans their week around customer visits, product demonstrations, training, and events. Compensation is a base salary plus uncapped commission.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of sales experience, with a record of meeting targets and closing business.
  • A consultative approach: listen carefully, uncover needs, and connect solutions to customer priorities.
  • Patience and persistence with longer buying cycles, and discipline to follow up consistently.
  • Confidence presenting to groups and willingness to learn to demonstrate technical products.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with end users and sales partners.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time for product demonstrations, product training, and strategic relationship building.
  • Comfort with hands-on work outdoors, near and on the water, in a range of weather.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to transport and handle demo equipment.
  • Desire to learn, take coaching, and grow a career.

  • Train and support dealers, distributors, and representatives so they can demonstrate and sell AquaEye.
  • Represent AquaEye at regional tradeshows, fire chiefs' conferences, and dive and rescue forums.
