About the position
Forward Networks is seeking an experienced Federal Regional (Navy and Marine Corps) DOD Sales Director to join their team. The company is revolutionizing network management with their vendor-agnostic "digital twin" platform. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying and qualifying leads, and generating new opportunities within the Navy and Marine Corps. The role requires 7-10 years of successful experience selling to the federal government, and a secret clearance is desired. Responsibilities
- Own the development and execution of sales strategy in territory that aligns with company's goals and objectives
- Identify and qualify leads, and generate new Navy and Marine Corps opportunities to achieve quota on a quarterly and annual basis
- Build strategic working relationships with clients, maintaining a high level of face-to-face contact
- Analyze potential opportunities and develop strategies to maximize sales
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation of solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to management
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services
- Maintain knowledge of federal government procurement processes and regulations
- Secret clearance desired
Requirements
- 7-10 years of successful experience selling to the federal government
- Experience in sales strategy development and execution
- Ability to identify and qualify leads
- Proven track record of generating new opportunities

- Minimum 7-10 years in Fed DOD Sales with a strong preference for Navy and Marine Corps experience
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota in technology sales
- Deep understanding of the networking and security industry
- Experience in selling Enterprise software with an ARR model preferred
- Must be able to communicate business and technical value to all levels of management
- Prior experience managing a sales team a plus
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Background in IT infrastructure
- $300-$350k OT (unclear if this is a benefit or salary information)
