About the position
Forward Networks is seeking a Federal (Sales) Systems Engineer Civilian to join their team. The company is revolutionizing network management by delivering a vendor-agnostic "digital twin" of the network based on a mathematical model. The role involves serving as the primary technical resource for the sales organization, advocating for the product, and providing key technical advice to Federal Civilian accounts. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of successful experience as a Sales Engineer selling to large enterprise accounts. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales organization working with Federal Civilian accounts.
- Work with the sales team as the product advocate and key technical adviser.
- Drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process; answer technical questions and communicate business and technical value to all levels of management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of successful experience as a Sales Engineer selling to large enterprise accounts
- Experience working with Federal Civilian accounts
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to serve as the primary technical resource for the sales organization
- Ability to advocate for the product and provide key technical advice to the sales team
- Proficiency in driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process
- Excellent communication skills to effectively answer technical questions and communicate business and technical value to all levels of management
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle to ensure customer satisfaction

- Superior presentation skills
- Working knowledge of API driven workflows and scripting languages (Python, bash, jq, graphql, etc) highly desired
- Experience working with a startup company highly desired
- B.S. Computer Science or equivalent educational experience highly desired
