About The Position

FOX 39 and WTVO are expanding their sales teams in Rockford, Illinois. The Regional Sales Account Executive uses a consultative, multimedia strategy to help clients grow their businesses. The role involves developing new business, growing and stewarding an established account list, selling broadcast and digital products, and supporting clients’ advertising campaigns. The position is full-time and may be based on location in Rockford or remotely within Illinois or Wisconsin.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in broadcast, cable, or a similar field.
At least 5 years of experience working with transactional business involving both holding companies and local advertising agencies.
At least 5 years of digital sales experience with OTT, CTV, social, display, Search, and SEO products.
Passion for sports and the ability to position the value of NFL, college football and basketball, and other major sports franchises.
Strong new business development skills, both direct and agency, especially with digital products.
Ability to negotiate and close business.
Personal integrity and the ability to differentiate oneself from the competition.
Ability to make decisions without supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Develop new business through direct and agency sales, especially for digital products.
Grow an established account list by upselling first-party Nexstar digital products, using strategic pricing, and providing outstanding account stewardship.
Hold meaningful conversations with decision makers.
Negotiate and close business.
Help produce clients’ creative elements.
Handle order entry, contracts, follow-up, and collections.
