About The Position

The Regional Content Coach – ELA will work collaboratively with national and regional staff to design and deliver effective ELA training, conduct classroom observations, and analyze data to identify areas of improvement. The Regional ELA Coach will expand the knowledge, skills and toolkits of all campus leaders to ensure ELA classrooms are optimum to engage all students in the learning. This is a full-time hybrid (remote/onsite) position based in Jacksonville. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate. Travel Expectation: 1-2 times per year for team stepbacks or meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based ELA practices and instructional strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate effective professional development sessions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience working with data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Knowledge of current ELA trends and research.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience as a ELA coach, instructional coach, or schools leader preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate professional development sessions that support teachers and leaders in implementing evidence-based ELA practices.
  • Collaborate with National Coaches and the Academic Services Team to develop and implement effective ELA instruction for students.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers and leaders to ensure fidelity of implementation of ELA instruction.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations to identify areas of strength and growth in ELA instruction.
  • Collect and analyze ELA data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Collaborate with campus and regional leadership to develop and implement ELA improvement plans based on data analysis.
  • Communicate regularly with regional leaders about student progress and instructional initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and trends in ELA instruction.
