Refinish Technician
About The Position
The Refinish Technician provides an exceptional customer experience by meticulously refinishing vehicles to restore them to their pre-accident condition. This includes thoroughly mixing paint, matching colors, and completing refinishing operations as specified in each work order. The technician works with the team to meet repair-facility KPIs and production deadlines, while representing Gerber Collision & Glass and supporting its commitments to speed, quality, and customer excellence. The role includes use of a PAPR system and other safety practices to support a safe work environment.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of collision repair experience.
- Ability to properly complete all steps in the refinishing process.
- Above-average focus on quality.
- High production capabilities.
Nice To Haves
- I-CAR or ASE certifications.
Responsibilities
- Review body work for quality and completeness when it arrives in the paint department.
- Thoroughly mix paint, color match, and refinish each vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition.
- Complete all refinishing operations described in the work order.
- Use and maintain paint material inventory efficiently.
- Consistently use required safety equipment and properly dispose of hazardous waste.
- Attend and collaborate with the team during daily production meetings.
- Work in coordination with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
