About The Position

Crestwood is hiring a Recreation and Rehabilitation Therapist to plan, coordinate, and implement a regular therapeutic recreation and activities program that meets individual clients’ needs and interests. The role supports clients’ recovery journeys through Crestwood’s person-centered, self-directed behavioral health programs. The position is full-time and in-person, with openings across California in the Fresno Area and Napa Valley. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Requirements

Must be registered or eligible for registration as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
Art therapists must be registered or eligible for registration with the American Art Therapy Association.
Dance therapists must be registered or eligible for registration with the American Dance Therapy Association.
Music therapists must have a bachelor’s degree in music therapy and be registered or eligible for registration with the National Association for Music Therapy.
Occupational therapists must be registered or eligible for registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Must have two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, including one year of full-time experience in a client activities program in a mental health setting; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation and registration or eligibility for registration as a recreation therapist through the California Board of Parks and Recreation Certification or the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
Must have a California driver’s license.
Must have current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and implement a therapeutic recreation and activities program on a regular basis.
Ensure the program meets individual clients’ needs and interests.
