About The Position

Provides recovery-oriented mobile and site-based individual and group counseling and support services, crisis prevention/intervention, and educational services, to a designated group (‘caseload”) of participants and collaterals such as family members and friends.

Requirements

  • Experience and willingness to self-identify as a current or former recipient of mental health services and/or co-occurring services and willingness to use and share personal practical experience, knowledge and first-hand insight to benefit the team, service, and participants.
  • Knowledge and skills to engage individuals around their recovery and establish supportive, trusting relationships with them.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Within the last three (3) years, maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or voluntary work experience or obtained at least 24 credit hours of post-secondary education; and/or have passed a recovery/peer specialist certification training.
  • Good oral, written communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently on and off-site.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
