About The Position

Recovery Corps seeks Recovery Navigators to provide peer support to people working to maintain progress in recovery. Navigators meet with participants, guide them as they access resources and set goals, and help them develop recovery action plans. The role draws on the Navigator’s own recovery experience to provide individualized mentoring and support. Positions are for the 2026–27 program year and run from January 2027 through July 2027.

Requirements

• Be in recovery for at least one uninterrupted year from a substance use disorder by the start of service.
• Be dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Be able to understand and follow instructions.
• Be able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule based on the agreed-upon hours commitment.
• Have basic computer skills, such as using email and navigating online.
• Be fluent in spoken and written English, including reading.
• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with participants.
• Use personal recovery experience to provide mentoring and peer support.
• Connect participants with social service resources and programs.
• Track participants’ progress on recovery plans.
• Participate in training and professional development throughout the year, including Peer Recovery Support training.
• Share personal experience with the community.
