About The Position

Roetzel & Andress is pleased to present a new opportunity for an experienced, organized, and proactive Records Operations Supervisor to join our team. This position provides day-to-day operational leadership for the Firm's Records Department while helping support the continued evolution of our records management program. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience working in a law firm records environment and enjoy balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational work. Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in legal records, information governance, or a comparable environment.
  • Experience coordinating workflows, projects, or personnel in a legal records setting.
  • Knowledge of legal records management, retention practices, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with document management systems, preferably iManage or NetDocuments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and other business technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, administrative professionals, and firm leadership.
  • Ability to support change, implement processes, and promote technology adoption.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with records inventories, off-site storage, and paper-lite initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Records Department workflow and operations.
  • Guide, train, and support Records personnel.
  • Monitor workloads and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Maintain quality standards for file maintenance, scanning, retrieval, storage, and destruction.
  • Support records procedures, workflow improvements, and technology initiatives.
  • Assist with records inventories, retention projects, and information governance initiatives.
  • Apply attorney departure, file transfer, and records transition procedures.
  • Partner with leadership to promote accountability and operational excellence.
  • Advise attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative staff on records matters.
