About The Position

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a hardworking, dedicated Supply Chain Associate to support its operations. The physically demanding role involves loading, unloading, organizing, and lifting donations such as clothing, furniture, and household items. The associate helps with donation pick-ups and efficiently fills trailers to maximize storage. The position requires teamwork, stamina, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and various weather conditions.

The work environment is consistently busy and noisy, with bright lighting throughout the front and back of the store. The role includes regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers and requires flexibility to switch tasks and work in assigned areas as operational needs change. A fundamental understanding of written and spoken English is necessary for following instructions, reading street signs, and communicating with customers, donors, and colleagues who primarily use English.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work at a steady pace in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented attitude and strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Reliability and ability to take direction from supervisors and team leaders.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry items short distances.
• Physical ability to move heavy objects and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read road signs, maps, and operating instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling bags and boxes.
• Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Good hearing to detect warning signals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Fundamental understanding of written and spoken English to comprehend instructions and read street signs, and ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and organize donations, including clothing, furniture, and household items.
• Fill trailers with donations, stacking and securing items to maximize space and efficiency.
• Assist drivers on donation pick-up routes by loading and securing items.
• Categorize and place items in designated areas to maintain organized inventory.
• Support thrift store operations by responding promptly to demands and requests.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and productive work processes.
• Take direction and complete tasks accurately to support team goals.
• Work in various weather conditions as needed for loading and unloading.
