About The Position

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a hardworking, dedicated Supply Chain Associate to support its operations. This physically demanding role involves loading, unloading, organizing, and lifting donations such as clothing, furniture, and miscellaneous household items. The associate will also assist with donation pick-ups and efficiently fill trailers to maximize storage. The position requires teamwork, stamina, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers. Employees may be asked to switch tasks and work in different areas based on operational needs. The work environment is consistently busy, noisy, brightly lit, and may expose employees to varied and extreme weather conditions during loading and unloading.

Employees are not required to communicate exclusively in English at work. However, a fundamental understanding of written and spoken English is necessary to understand instructions, read street signs, and communicate verbally and in writing with customers, donors, and colleagues who primarily use English.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and maintain a steady pace throughout shifts.
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Reliability and ability to take direction from supervisors and team leaders.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry items short distances.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read road signs, maps, and operating instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling bags and boxes.
• Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Good hearing to detect warning signals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Fundamental understanding of written and spoken English to understand instructions, read street signs, and communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and organize clothing, furniture, and other household donations.
• Fill trailers with donations, stacking and securing items to maximize space and efficiency.
• Assist drivers on donation-pickup routes by loading and securing items.
• Categorize and place items in designated areas to maintain organized inventory.
• Respond promptly to operational demands and requests to support thrift store operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and productive work processes.
• Take direction and complete tasks accurately to support team goals.
• Work in various weather conditions as needed for loading and unloading.
• Switch tasks and work in assigned areas based on operational needs.
