About The Position

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a hardworking, dedicated Supply Chain Associate to support its operations. The role involves loading, unloading, organizing, and lifting clothing, furniture, and miscellaneous donations; assisting with donation pick-ups; and efficiently filling trailers to maximize storage. The position requires teamwork, stamina, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves regular interaction with customers, donors, and coworkers. Employees may be asked to switch tasks and work in different areas based on operational needs. The work environment is consistently busy and noisy, with bright lighting, and tasks may be performed in various weather conditions.

A fundamental understanding of written and spoken English is necessary for comprehending instructions, reading street signs, and communicating verbally and in writing with customers, donors, and colleagues who primarily use English. Employees are not required to communicate exclusively in English at work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and maintain a steady pace throughout shifts.
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Reliability and ability to take direction from supervisors and team leaders.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry items short distances.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Visual acuity to read road signs, maps, and operating instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling bags and boxes.
• Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Good hearing to detect warning signals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Fundamental written and spoken English comprehension and communication skills for instructions, signs, and workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and organize clothing, furniture, and other household donations.
• Fill trailers with donations, stacking and securing items to maximize space and efficiency.
• Assist drivers on donation pick-up routes by loading and securing items.
• Categorize and place inventory in designated areas.
• Support thrift store operations by responding promptly to demands and requests.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient and productive work processes.
• Follow direction and complete tasks accurately to support team goals.
• Work in various weather conditions as needed for loading and unloading.
